RadarZone Terms of Use and Subscription Terms

Effective date: 29 September 2026

These terms govern the use of the RadarZone Android app and its online service (the "Service") provided by the RadarZone team ("we"). By using the app you accept these terms. How personal data is processed is explained in the Privacy Policy and KVKK Information Notice: https://radarzone.net/en/privacy/. If this English translation differs from the Turkish text, the Turkish text prevails.

1. The Service

RadarZone is a driving aid that shows your current speed and speed limit information for the road you are on, with visual and optional voice alerts as you approach or exceed the limit. It also offers destination search, route preview and a route line, saved places, a small speed display over other apps, and, where data is available, information about average speed sections and traffic checks. It does not give turn-by-turn voice directions.

The Service contains data only for roads in Türkiye and is distributed only in Türkiye. RadarZone is not affiliated with any public authority and is not an official service. Internet and data charges from your mobile operator are your responsibility.

2. Nature of the information and estimated speed limits

  • Speed limits come from map data, average speed section data, or the general legal limits for the road and vehicle type.
  • On roads without sign data the limit shown is an estimate and is marked "estimated" in the app, on the speed display and in voice alerts. An estimated limit may differ from the sign on the road.
  • Speed is measured by GPS and may differ from your vehicle's speedometer and your actual speed. With a weak GPS signal, speed and limit may not be shown.
  • Information may be incomplete, wrong or out of date. Alerts may come late or not at all. If no information is shown, this does not mean that there is no speed limit, average speed section or traffic check on the road.
  • Road signs, road markings, instructions of authorised officers and applicable law always prevail.

3. Driver responsibility

  • You alone are responsible for driving in line with traffic rules and road conditions. The app does not replace careful driving.
  • Do not interact with your phone while driving. Set the destination, settings and permissions before you set off, and use a holder that complies with the law and does not block your view. If needed, let a passenger operate the app or stop in a safe place.
  • Traffic fines and all consequences of driving remain with the driver.

4. Account

  • No account is needed to use the app. An account is needed to buy a subscription; you can sign in with Google or register with email.
  • You are responsible for accurate account details and for keeping your password secret. Accounts are personal and may not be transferred.
  • Account-related emails are sent to your registered address.
  • The Service is intended for drivers aged 18 or over.

5. Free trial and subscription

5.1 Trial. A 7-day free trial starts when you first open the app. No card or payment details are requested. Nothing is charged automatically when the trial ends; to keep using the paid features you need to buy a subscription.

5.2 The trial is given once per device. Reinstalling the app, clearing app data or switching accounts does not give a new trial. When you create an account or sign in, the device's trial period is carried to the account; it does not add extra days.

5.3 The trial starts only for an app installed from Google Play on a device that passes the device check. Emulators, rooted or modified devices or apps may not get a trial; a subscription can still be bought.

5.4 Plans and price. A 1-day and a 1-week prepaid pass (do not renew) and monthly and yearly subscriptions (renew automatically) are offered. All plans include all features. The current price, including taxes, is shown in Turkish lira in Google Play before you buy. For Google Play sales in Türkiye, Google takes the payment and collects VAT (KDV). Payment is charged to your Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.

5.5 Auto-renewal. Unless cancelled, the subscription renews automatically at the end of each period for the same length, and the price is charged to your Google Play account. Google Play's notice and consent rules apply to price changes.

5.6 Cancellation. You can cancel at any time in Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → RadarZone → Cancel subscription. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Uninstalling the app or deleting your account does not cancel the subscription.

5.7 Payment problems. If a renewal payment fails, access may continue for a while or stop according to Google Play's grace period and account hold rules.

5.8 Moving between accounts. A Google Play subscription is linked to only one RadarZone account at a time. If it is moved to another RadarZone account with the same Google Play account, the previous account loses the subscription.

5.9 Refunds. Because Google takes the payment, refund requests are handled through Google Play under Google Play's refund policies. You can also write to destek@radarzone.net; where appropriate we can start a refund through Google Play. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

5.10 Coverage. A subscription gives access to the paid features. Data coverage and freshness vary by region; a subscription does not promise that information exists for a particular road or region.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • reverse engineer the app or servers except where the law expressly allows it, or misuse them through automated queries, scraping or excessive requests,
  • try to bypass trial or subscription limits or the device check,
  • copy, sell or reuse Service data in bulk or in another service,
  • send misleading or malicious feedback,
  • use the Service for unlawful purposes.

7. Intellectual property

Rights in the app, its design and the compiled data belong to us. You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use it. Map and road data © OpenStreetMap contributors, under the ODbL. Open source components are subject to their own licences.

8. Changes and interruptions

  • We may improve, change or remove features. If the law changes or a legal requirement arises, we may switch off some information layers (for example average speed section and traffic check information) without prior notice.
  • The Service may be temporarily interrupted for maintenance, connectivity or data source problems. Downloaded region data works offline; search and routing need a connection.
  • If we discontinue the paid Service entirely, we will announce it in the app at least 30 days in advance and stop further renewals.

9. Termination

  • You can stop using the app at any time and delete your account in Menu → Account → Delete account or by following the steps at https://radarzone.net/en/account-deletion/. Cancel the subscription in Google Play separately.
  • If you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms (for example trial abuse or attacks on our servers), we may suspend or end your account's or device's access to the Service.

10. Limitation of liability

  • The Service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that information will be complete, accurate or current, that alerts will always be given, or that the Service will run without interruption.
  • To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions made in reliance on the information shown, traffic fines, accidents, indirect damage or loss of profit.
  • To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the event causing the damage.
  • These limits do not apply in cases of intent or gross negligence or where liability cannot be limited by law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Consumers may apply to consumer arbitration committees within the monetary limits set each year under Law No. 6502 on Consumer Protection, and to consumer courts for disputes above those limits.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is published in the app and at https://radarzone.net/en/terms/. We will announce important changes affecting your subscription in the app before they take effect; if you do not accept them you can cancel your subscription.
